What's Up With Arcsoft TMT5

I hope this post is not misplaced. I figured this was the best place for it. I've been looking all over the Internet and cannot find any bargain prices for TMT5. Several months ago when I first previewed it, there were bargains to be found on Amazon and a few other sites but now it appears if you want it you have to order directly from Arcsoft and pay $100.00. What happened?

Just wondering if anyone has any insight. $100.00 is a little steep IMO, since I have a perfectly good standalone player already.

Thanks for any information.

Yeah, no.

No one ever pays $100 for it.

Every weekend it generally goes on sale for anywhere from 30-40% off.  Holidays it goes down to a 50% discount.

There are benefits to Arcsoft that you can't get in a standalone player, like mixed media management, menu system controls, etc. all of which are pretty nice.

But never pay full price.

Ever.

OK - I've been combing the Internet and finally ran across this. Seems too good to be true, so I'm thinking maybe it is.

Has anyone heard of this site?

John-

AVOID!  AVOID!

Google for their site, lots of turnups of bogus software and the like.

It's an ebay competitor and it is flooded with pirates.

I've been checking every weekend but I have yet to see this available for less than $100.00.  Am I missing something?

Hi Matt;

Did I miss this already?  When I check their site I see no mention of this sale.

You did ;(   It was a 2 day sale; friday morning to saturday at midnight.

They should bring it back tomorrow I think, they normally have for labor day

Thanks!

Bought it tonight for $49.99 if anyone is interested. Page says the deal ended Oct 31 but it worked on Nov 1 so you might want to give it a try.

Here is a link to the page.

Congrats, Patrick!  I'm a couple of days too late again.  But I'm really getting tired of Arcsoft and their idea that their software should rival the cost of a standalone player.  For now at least, I'll pass.

Thanks a lot Patrick!!!  Now I can finally stop whining about this.

Great, I love the software for $49 but I was too cheap to buy it at $99 or $79.

Enjoy.
