I'm heading over to Europe for two weeks next month and am currently looking for an affordable phone option to head overseas with me. I will be travelling through Ireland, Italy, Spain, and Russia.
Domestically I am a Verizon subscriber and currently use the iphone. I would prefer to have a smartphone for this trip since it would allow me the ability to use maps and other apps (currency converter, metro maps, language apps etc.). I have an old GSM Mytouch 3g from my days on T-Mobile and could probably use that with a foreign sim card.
Ideally though I would prefer to use an iphone and am looking for a solution to get myself a gsm version to take overseas. Is anyone aware of anywhere that will rent out a gsm 3gs with the sim card to use for data/occasional voice overseas?
