Many of us are waiting for an announcement about this long-wanted (for me, at least) title on Blu-ray. Next year is its 50th anniversary year, so perhaps Warners will issue it on BD and reissue The Music Man at the same time since it seems to be out of print (and it would be its 50th anniversary as well).

I would love for Warner's to include an option to view the film with the outtakes inserted into the film. They can include a disclaimer about the quality or whatever, but I would like to view it with those included, even if they are a bit pink and monochromatic. There would, of course, also be the option to view the standard release version.

I would also like Warner's to make this a "Night at the Movies" edition; there was a very early VHS release of GYPSY in that format, which included trailers for "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" and "Days of Wine and Roses". If memory serves, there was also a cartoon. Unfortunately I no longer have that tape; it snarled in my player at some point (and it was expensive, too, like $60 and the quality was middling at best - GYPSY really suffers in pan-and-scan mode).
