Geting a QuickTime Error Message on many pages

I am getting a message that QuickTIme components need to be installed on just every page on HTF. Then one time, the QuickTime plugin crashed. Does this have anything to do with the ad that played sound and video (which I strongly disliked)? I don't see or hear it now, but I see a white box where an ad used to be.

This is on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) using Firefox.

Steve:

It's being looked into.  Thanks for the heads-up.

I would suspect that someone will be back asking for more specifics shortly.

Seems to be a problem with Lion (which is new) and Firefox (which isn't). I've also been having problems with embedded video, like YouTube...I don't see the problem with Safari.

This may not be an HTF issue, except for the ads that apparently embedding video.

Do you have Flash installed in Firefox? I'm seeing a problem with Safari on Lion, where it is downloading the Flash content instead of displaying it. I don't have Flash in Safari (I use the built-in Flash player in Chrome).

Yes, in fact, I reinstalled Flash and still got the problem.

I am seeing it at Amazon, too.

But everything works in Safari.

Steve-

Is it random pages or do you always get the error on specific pages?  If so can you give me a link?

It typically shows up on the "New Posts" page. One of the ads on the right hand side is typically blank. The problem has gone away now that I am using Safari (with the Flash plugin installed).

Just found this after a Google search:

Adobe Flash does not work with Firefox 5.0.1 on OSX Lion

That's got to be what I am seeing here, and it is Flash ads that are prompting the QuickTime error message in Firefox.

I am using Safari now, so I don't see the problem anymore.
