Please let us turn off tooltips viewing thread contents from forum views

Any update on this? I actually have begun to actively hate using HTF on the iPad due to having to double tap to get to every thread. It's infuriating.

I'll piggy-back on this, sort of. Any reason why hovering over the 'Last Post' of a thread on a Forum front page produces a preview that is cut-off at the Forum boundary? Like so:

I think that's a new bug for me too but I can confirm it happening on latest Firefox on Windows. It's annoying, but not nearly so maddening as the tooltips on mobile.

I'm still trying to get tooltips removed from mobile.  The lack to an update doesn't mean I have stopped trying, it means I don't have an update.

I just discovered there are frigging tooltips on the multi page selectors now. Maybe it's cease I always only go to the last page of threads that I have never seen them before but I honestly felt like throwing something when I discovered this. PLEASE make getting tooltips on mobile removed a priority.

And now the mouseover on a message header is popping open the view profile drop down??? Is it doing this for anyone but me? It's horrible!

I'm not sure I know what the last one you mentioned is there Sam.
I just wish this forum was iPad compatible the way other forums are.

double tapping everything and the like Upton not allowing to add a message to the little pop up window.

Is there anyone from Huddler who can answer these questions about iPad?

Move your mouse cursor anywhere into the message header, it forces your User Control Panel to pop open, for me at least on Firefox and Chrome.

Yeah, not a fan. I tend to navigate up and down through a thread with the arrow keys and my cursor is always setting off this menu. Should be clickable.

I've noticed this, where the mouse-over area of the profile extends w-a-a-a-y beyond where you'd expect it to...and then, just to gore one's ox even further, some of those drop-downs refuse to close.  Not exactly a matter of life and death, but it's a constant annoyance.  It changed to this at some point (a few months back?), and seems as senseless now as it did then.

Mobile is still the worst way to interact with HTF. Tooltips are the reason. PLEASE disable tooltips on mobile browsers! Or make them user select-able completely!

Are you guys all using Chrome or newer versions of Firefox?  I haven't encountered this on Firefox 3.6.x nor IE8 myself.

 

If this is still happening for newer versions of Firefox, then that's one reason for me not to bother upgrading yet.

I was using Firefox when I posted that.  I've been on Chrome the last several weeks and I see it isn't happening for me now.  (banana.gif)  

Now I have to put the mouse right on each person's name to get the dropdown.

I'm using FF 3.6.25 at work and FF 9 (? The newest one, at home.).  And I haven't seen those issues in a long while at either site. 

 

Must've gotten fixed under-the-radar.
