I wonder - is there a place can get cd quality recordings of these?  I wouldn't mind having them on my iPod.

I don't have access to any of the above videos right now so I can't check them out, but I would highly recommend the work of Go Home Productions - http://www.gohomeproductions.co.uk/downloads.html

and - http://www.markvidler-gohomeproductions.co.uk/archive6.html.  You can freely download all of his work.

Here's one of his more recent ones - a mash up of Smells Like Teen Spirit and Rockin Robin:

My personal favorite is Jet Lady Joe:

Thanks for sharing, sorry for the long delay. I just discovered music video streaming to my TV and have been making playlists for when we entertain. I've even put in a few fun commercials and "Randee of the Redwoods" so it is like having my own MTV on when I entertain in the Man Cave! These mashups really add to it!

I don't know if you're interested in dance music but I find this one quite amazing - I Wanna Bulletproof Dancer. A mashup of Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance with Somebody, LaRoux's Bulletproof, Robyn's Dancing On My Own, and Taylor Swift's You Belong to Me. Not only does the music fit together, but the lyrics tie together as well:
