The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

25 + 25 = 50

50 - 10 = 40

40 - 10 = 30

30 - 8 = 22

Yup.  That's how I do the math.  I'd like to be at the register with you when you try to do that and see how it goes...   biggrin.gif

I don't think you want me there with you, though...based on my past experiences at BB.  laugh.gif

Yeah you better stay away. Or get target to price match the use the two coupons for the same price OR match at target use the two coupons and a bunny money Target $5 coupon for a total of only $17.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Adam.  Incredibles for sure, Potter definitely possibly.  The other HP's are $9.99 are BB, so I may finish the collection with them, though I am sorely tempted to wait until Amazon prices matches so I can boycott BB.

I have never had a problem using a DMR coupon at BB...hell, they even allowed me to use the $5 coupon for the 4-disc combo pack of Tangled on the cheaper 2-disc set, no questions asked. drum.gif

I'll be getting The Incredibles this week. I already have Cars so, fortunately, I won't have to get into a screaming match over coupons. At some point, I'll pick up Dragnet and the Race With The Devil/Dirt Mary, Crazy Larry DVDs and I'm sure an Ultimate Edition of Harry Potter will be released in the future so I'll wait on that one as well.

Thanks for the prices! smile.gif

My wife is the coupon queen. I'll have her make the purchase at Best Buy. It's worth the hassle for $10. besides, the Super Target is right around the corner if there's any problems, although that means paying the additional $10.

Thanks for the Roundup.  Deathly Hallows w/BB bonus disc & Incredibles for me.  Got Cars blu ray last year for cheap & already had the SE dvd of it which I combined to make my own homemade "combo pack".

I am surprised Amazon hasn't taken the bait and lowered their price of the Incredibles on Blu. To Best Buy, I suppose.  Thanks for the great work, Mike!

Patience

They will

Nothing, since  Car 54 isn't being released on BD....

Thank, Mike!

Looks like I'm going to be at Best Buy when the doors open Friday. Does anyone know if the Best Buy exclusive with the book also has the Best Buy exclusive extra disc with the 65 minutes of bonus content? It'd be worth spending the extra few bucks for the book, but not if I miss out on the additional special features.

Thanks Mike for the prices this week.

Buying The Incredibles as a birthday present to me!

Will wait for the inevitable Harry Potter UE before purchasing.

(For some reason - Firefox 4 doesn't play well with the in forum editor. But if I post then edit the post it works just fine. Odd indeed.)

Don't forget the free movie tickets for Cars 2 -- If the Cars re-release is $25, take away $10 for the BB deal and $8 for the DMR coupon, that leaves $7 for a movie ticket coupon that's probably worth $10!

It's even better after selling or trading the extra copy of Cars. . .

Say, does anyone know if the Disney Store is running a preorder deal for The Incredibles?  They did for Tangled (similar to the ones they've done before, where you get an art print and a coupon for either $10 or $20 off a future purchase).

The forum editor hasn't worked right going back to the earliest beta versions of Firefox 4. The trick I learned was to open Source mode, click anywhere in the text box, and then go back to the regular editor.

Thanks Adam for the tip.

And you are indeed correct - good to know.

I called the Disney Store. . .no dice on an Incredibles preorder deal.  Also, it looks like the "free" movie ticket coupons are $8.50 in value.

The review for the Blu-ray of The Incrediblesis now up here.

The coupons actually say "Coupon may not be reproduced, transferred or used in conjunction with any other offer", and when printed out it states in bold letters underneath, "This coupon cannot be combined with any other offer.".

So, did anyone have any luck combining the offers?

I wouldn't know. I went to BB an hour and a half after they opened. The store wasn't very busy at all. They only had one copy of The Incredibles, and had sold out of Cars. Customer Service checked the computer and the two other BBs "in the area" (at least half hour away each) didn't have any Cars left either. He looked in the flyer (because I asked about the "save $10 when purchasing both on the same receipt) and he said it was only good while supplies lasted.

I didn't notice until I got home, my Incredibles has what sounds like broken hub pieces when I shake the case. Back for replacement I guess.

I wasn't looking for it but now that you mention it, I don't remember seeing Cars at Best Buy either.

Hi Jim!

Is there anything different about this release of Cars vs the last one?

Depends on which last one you are talking about, but the main differences I can figure:

Different slipcase

Adds the DVD (from the original release though the first re-release was a combo)

I think the uncompressed 5.1 PCM audio track has been replaced by DTS-HD (unconfirmed so far)

Someone said one of the shorts had been upgraded to HD instead of SD.
