Curb Your Enthusiasm is back on July 10. I guess that's a fairly long way off but it's still pretty, pretty, pretty good news.

YES!!  I was hoping it'd come back.  I love this show, such good stuff in it.

"How you gonna fuck bitches in a twin bed?!?"

Oh God -- the look Funkhouser shot at Larry after he suggested his wife go to London...

"Do you like girlscout cookies?"
"I find them abhorrent! But come on in!"

The period stuff was kind of funny and Leon had some good lines but I can't say I really laughed that much. Still enjoyable though. I did like Susie's divorce tirade and the slow pan over revealing that there were other people around the table forced to listen to her psychotic rant. I know I've said it before but Susie Essman is one of the best swearers ever!

Can't believe how topical they went with the Dodgers and the owners' marital/financial woes.

Leon cracks me up.

J.B. Smoove as Leon is the awesome. Starting with the fact that dude's name is "J.B. Smoove."

I just love that he's basically a squatter in Larry's house, and Larry totally accepts it.

("You RAN THAT ASS into the ground.")

Leon is aces, no doubt about it. But I'm really hoping that this season allows the Funk Man to step up. He's my other favorite out of Larry's posse. Super Dave always does a masterful job of making me laugh hard without ever saying a word. And his defense of his wife against Leon's comments was easily every bit as funny as Leon's comments themselves.

So glad this show is back. Leon is one of the greatest bit players in sitcom history. Everything that guy says is pure GOLD!!! biggrin.gif

"Have you set aside a day when you're actually going to look at her face??" is one of the funniest lines in the show's history. I had to pause it until I could get my laughing under control.

"How 'bout the marm, huh? How 'bout this marm??"

Ached during that whole scene at the "shelter."

Michaela Watkins knocked a truly irritating character out of the park. Still scratching my head over Lorne Michael's assessment that she was too talented for SNL. Would rather see her than endless Gilly sketches.

Also:

Richard Lewis's face when he sees the four guys leaving the strip-show made me bust out.

That, and the shot of Larry's hands inching towards the Chubby Hubby in the background.

How do I say this without sounding insensitive.........but for some of those women (especially the dog woman) It's not hard to understand why the wrong person might have gone off on them.

I liked when Leon said "Who could fuck her up?" about the big lady. Also, it's funny that Leon knows so much of Larry's personal info.

I liked in the second supermarket when Lewis was told about the big one being an domestic abuse victim, he just immediately, nonchalantly says "you look like you can take of yourself" without even so much as a pause before he said it.

Ok...seriously, if this season is all about Jeff, Larry, and Funk hanging out like middle aged Little Rascals this might be the best season ever!!

Agreed

"Which reminds me of something Theodor Herzl once said..."

Did my eyes deceive me, or was that Rebecca "Frequently Naked on HBO" Creskoff in that promo for next week?

As long as Leon's with them.

I was frustrated because that was a no-brainer!

Nobody can accuse Larry of coasting. Curb is still raising the bar.

I dont watch this show regularly, but when I do, its usually good for a few laughs. Last nights was really funny.

So far, 3 episodes in, this season is absolutely brilliant. Curb is one of the VERY few comedies on TV that has maintained quality pretty much throughout all 8 seasons. There might have been a few below par episodes here and there, but on the whole the show has always been pretty consistent. Even without Leon last night's episode was hilarious!

I'm not Jewish, but even if I was, there's still no question to which side of the ending scene protest I would be going to.

Also, I can't say for sure whether curb was the first to come up with the "Social Assassin" concept, but it's brilliant!

Social Assassin added to the list along with man hands, I'm out, sponge worthy, and low talker.

I love anything that pokes fun at or makes people uncomfortable about race, religion or politics and this episode hit all of those topics in hilarious ways. Like others, I think his show has been really strong this year.

LOL I am the exact opposite Travis.  I get uncomfortable watching people get uncomfortable!
