He just restored The Ten Commandments, now Ron Smith wants to hear from you: What Paramount... - Page 15

Although Paramount has made hundreds of films from the 1950's to date, the majority of them, while entertaining, weren't the type of movie you would necessarily want to spend a lot of money on to collect. While many of their films have already been released on DVD, with various results, most of their best films, with a number of exceptions, have already been released on Blu-ray. To complicate things, many of Paramount's better films were only "released" through Paramount, who didn't, or may no longer own the rights. One of the best films only released through Paramount, IMHO, was Becket. While finally released on Blu-ray, it's a good example of a Blu-ray that they could have done a better job on.

Some of the films that I would like to see Blu-rays of are:

"A Place In The Sun".............................................August 14, 1951

"Stalag 17".............................................................July 1, 1953

"Pardners"..............................................................August 1, 1956

"The World Of Suzie Wong"................................November 10, 1960

"Come Blow Your Horn".....................................June 5, 1963

"The Amorous Adventures Of Moll Flanders"....1965

"Paint Your Wagon".............................................October 15, 1969

"On A Clear Day You Can See Forever"..........June 17, 1970

Most other worthwhile Paramount films that aren't already available on Blu-ray have already been mentioned in this thread.

So many films that need to be saved....such little time left.

I agree with you 100%.  I was looking at a list of their titles and after seeing the new Olive list and knowing that they are working on Wings and Samson, there really is not much left.  Universal needs to get busy on the titles they own.

Off subject a little, but I ran across this doing some research on another subject and thought it would be interesting to readers.

It is also interesting that Paramount re-released The Ten Commandments two weeks after he passed away. The ads did not refer to his death, but pushed is as back to theaters at an important time.
