Also, inline images aren't supported. They take you out to Mobile Safari to display

David, thanks for the comparison.

Because I'm a big fan and user of the subscriptions, the lack of its support in Tapa is a big deal for me -- perhaps the biggest hindrance. The formatting issues aren't a big deal in small threads, but in the big and interesting conversations with lots of back and forth, it makes them unintelligible.

Anybody else having trouble logging in to HTF with tapatalk? Been unable to do so for the last few days.

Nope. No problem logging in.

Interesting. Still can't log in. Think I'm going to try and uninstall tapatalk then reinstall and see if that does the trick. Thanks.

Normal for me too. Try a force kill first, if you haven't.
A reinstall did the trick.

Tapa hasn't worked for me for a month or two. Deleted it but haven't reinstalled yet. (I use it infrequently)

Reinstalled and it's working.

But it still doesn't interact with subscriptions correctly.

Has work on this stopped? I find myself using Tapatalk more often and it stinks that I can't use it here (it is not ready for prime time). As I get stuck at the office more and more it would be nice to have.

It would be great if HTF was optimized for anything other than a regular web browser, Ipad or iphone for example.

While I got Tapa to work again, reading the forum, I'm having again the recurrent problems where it can't post.

I may need to delete Tapa from my iPhone since it's a constant source of frustration. I hope there's development of a mobile-version of HTF going on in the background! :)

The forum worked for me for a couple of weeks, but not Tapatalk won't connect to any of the forums.
Is it just me or is there an issue with HTF?

I had to delete and reinstall Tapa when i had that problem

Thanks Dave, that worked. Have you had to reinstall more than once?

Just the once so far. I think it's an iOS5 upgrade thing. It's the second app that had such a problem.

Uh, trust me -- it had nothing to do with iOS smiley_wink.gif

After a couple of days, I can still read the forums, but I can't post anymore.  This is how it's happened before -- can't post, then can't load threads, then can't load forums.

Ditto, basically.

Tapatalk stopped working again. It won't load threads.

Mine's been working this week.

Tapa / HTF has been not working the past couple weeks. I'm on vacation and iPhone only the rest of the year, so I'm probably going to be off HTF for a while - no posting, maybe no reading. Safari access remains practically unusable.

Happy holidays and "see" you when I can get back to a desktop browser.

Mine works, as long as I don't login.. if I browse as a guest, I can use it.. if I chose to login, it crashes.

Hey Folks,

You know it would be super nice to be able to use HTF from my phone when I'm stuck away from my computer. Can make it a New Years resolution to fix the formatting so we can read posts? Please? :-)

I've spent two weeks on my iPhone during travels; no computer use. I've started researching an HTPC build and my time was spent at AVS and other sites as they're easily read on an iPhone. I've given up on Tapa / HTF; it's been broken too many times and last I checked couldn't connect at all (no reading, no posting). And HTF is unusable in iOS.

I really hope this is fixed early 2012.

After a couple months of Tapa / HTF not working at all, I deleted and reinstalled Tapa onto my iPHone. It's working again.

EDIT. Now my quoted post looks good again. Now I'm really confused......

We did some bug fixes yesterday.  Let me know if its still looking good.  I think most of the mobile resources are going into a new mobile HTML5 version of the site, but we are still a few months away.  What are your current biggest gripes with tapatalk?

Adam,

It looks better than it did a few months ago. At least now I can easily separate the quoted text from the rest of the reply.

My gripe is not with Tapatalk (I use it for many forums). It is with the implementation here. The formatting is very bad (or was until recently). If I respond to a post it does not get added to my subscriptions. And I do not get updated when something new is posted. All these issues are not issues on other forums I frequent.

At least now with the formatting mostly taken care of I will not be as hesitant to visit HTF when I'm on the road.
