Better YouTube.

I don't know if this is controlled on your end or if it's up to YT, but I wish there was a way to have widescreen videos on the embed.  Resolution control as well.

Actually Greg we now have this as of approx 3 weeks ago.  There are two ways you can do it.

 

Hard Way:  Put the reply box into source mode (hit the source button), then copy the embed code from YouTube into your post, hit source again to exit and submit your post

 

Easy Way: Click on the Insert Video button on the tool bar and paste in the video URL (NOT the embed code).  For example this is a vdeo URL: http://www.youtube.com/user/HomeTheaterForum#p/u/9/f-QHJ900jL4  if you paste that link into the box after hitting the Insert Video button you will get:

 

 

 

Please note that it may look 4x3 before you hit submit, but once you hit submit it will be widescreen.  I think the option to change the resolution is a YouTube thing.  Sometimes it shows up on videos I have embedded here and other times it doesn't.
