The Now and Then thread

So I've been going through my mom's shoeboxes of old photos scanning and restoring each and every one. Her shooting covered pretty much the last 50 years, with plenty of me from the seventies. And then found a pair of photos she took 10 years apart:

 

Circa 1971:

Young Me

 

Circa 1980-ish:

Then Me

 

And then I hit upon a brilliant idea. Here's me, a couple of months ago:

 

Day 068/365 - Now Me

This one was a blast to recreate. It wasn't quite 100% accurate - there are more people in the background, and the shirt has the wrong sleeve length - but I did get some details right - like a old Kodak Instamatic at my feet and the garbage can in the right place behind my left shoulder.

Well, if by a bit you mean another 200 pounds, then yeah! I haven't! :)

 

Anyway, one last set for the moment. This time from the summer of 1978:

 

Then Me at Freeway Park

 

I couldn't quite get the shirt right - I looked and looked and looked, but couldn't find a Seahawks shirt anywhere (and wasn't willing to lay out the 30 bucks for a new one), so I went with my favorite FC shirt:

Heh - thanks guys. It's been a blast recreating these.

 

And of course, I completely forgot to post this one, a pic I did on my Highway 101 roadtrip last fall:

And me, Circa 1978 (I think):

It's not quite a complete match - the clothes are all wrong - but you get the idea!
