Here’s a breakdown of new features and important fixes or improvements in the release we loaded earlier today

Facebook Connect Optimization:
Previously Facebook Connect users were unable to utilize all features of the site, and were subject to occassional isses when Facebook would change their interface with little or no notice. We have changed the way new Facebook Connect users register for the site and we will be working with existing FB users to convert their accoutns. More details on that coming soon.
New pagination and jump controls:
Our data shows that forum members spend a lot of time clicking from page to page in long discussion threads, so we've added tools to make this much easier.
Do you remember the way we used to have exposed links to page [ 1 2 3 ... 48 ] for every thread in a list.? Well they are back and as an added surprise, click the "..."to bring up a slider control that will lets you to jump to the exact page you want. We liked this jump control so much that we also added it inside threads so you can move around a 1000-page thread with precision and ease.
Saved Advanced Searches:
To enhance search you can now save past searches to your profile.
Here's how it works:
- Use Advanced Search.
- On results page, click "Save this Search" button.
- You are prompted to enter a name for the saved search.
Saved searches are only accessible from the Advanced Search Page, so you will need to go there to delete them.
Benefit: if a you share the URL for a saved search with another person, the search boxes automatically populate with content when the page is viewed.
Followed Users List:
We allow you to subscribe to each others' content (follow), but until now, we haven't aggregated all followers in a single view. The Followed Users List is a new module on your My Profile page that displays all of the members you are following.
Up to 12 followed members now appear on the right side of a member profile; the full view of all followed members can be seen on a new "Members I Follow" page. With this new functionality, we've changed site terminology:
- "Subscribe to User" is now "Follow this User."
- "Unsubscribe from User" is now "Unfollow this User."
There are three ways to sort on the "Members I Follow" page:
- Online Status: online members first, sorted by the timestamp associated with their most recent action.
- Member Name: alphabetical.
- Date Added: most-recently followed members appear at top.
With privacy in mind, we've built this feature so each member only has access to their own follower list!
Other improvements and fixes:
We've clarified who's leaving feedback for whom within Classifieds:
- After a user flags a piece of content, they’ll now see a confirmation message: “Thanks for flagging.”
- "A "Mark Forums Read" icon has been added to the Classic All New Posts page
- Deleting multiple subscriptions no longer generates an error message on the Subscriptions Management page.
- We've restored function to the "Subscribe" button that is on the parent forum level
- We changed the visable fields on the profile page removing location and zip code and adding in 5 favorite movies and 5 favorite discs
