Move Over Black Friday, Here's Cyber Monday!

Thread Starter

Yup. Our wallets are still reeling from Black Friday and already Cyber Monday deals are live.

Here Are The CYBER MONDAY Deals.

Honestly, these look like a retread of the Black Friday Deals only in some cases a bit MORE Expensive. However, it's not really Monday yet so it can get better still and the lightning deals will probably be pretty good when they start rolling them out. If you find some good deals please post 'em here.

Some TV and Home theater deals

And some Video Game deals...

Seems the Black Friday deals were better on all the titles I remember checking out... except for the one I actually bought, which dropped in price $2.

Dammit.

Waiting for the lightning deals, that's where the real action is.

Yep, go for the lightning -- I'll have to figure a way to do this at work.

Blu-ray:

Dollhouse S1 for $9.99

Alice miniseries  $7.99

BTTF boxset $25 (I guess I can always throw the discs into a spare Bluray case and save the Boxset for the art),

Shutter Island $13 (I was hoping for a little better, but not bad)

Hannibal Box  $18 (I already have SOTL

Home Alone Boxset $15 (not a fan, but many are)

Batman: Under the Red Hood  $8.49   (if you get the WBShop Insider 25% discount to work, it's only 6.75 there -- check SlicD or FatW for details)

Stargate 15th Anniv -- 8.50

Did too much damage to the credit cards over this long weekend, so I'll probably sit out Cyber Monday.

Though the current Amazon deal for the Firefly BD set for $25 is the last thing tempting me...

How much of a deal do you need?

The best current price I can find is at Amazon UK -- $101  (it was 150-160 on Sunday afternoon so a huge drop )

Planet Earth Blu ray is also down to $27  shipped (it was 30.50 Sunday afternoon)

Any idea when will the BTTF lightning deal will happen?

Home Alone box apparently gone already.  Not showing in the Lightning deal, but is on their calendar for 7:40 to 11:40 EST deals. Now I found it in the "Sold out category".  Oh well.

To answer my own question, 10:30am (CST)

I did manage to snag Dollhouse S1 for 9.99.  And thanks to David for pointing out Shutter Island will be 12.99.  That's the last thing I'll spring for before I go to lunch.  laugh.gif

Waiting patiently for BACK TO THE FUTURE at $24.99

FWIW, Target's site is running some sort of CM 2-for-$16 deal for TV series and BDs.  However, I can't for the life of me figure out which titles are actuallly included in the deal even though the link shows a fairly large list that includes a few titles I did not see in other BF/CM deals so far, eg. Psycho BD:

http://target.bfi0.com/13a38d02alayfousibjgch6aaaaaabnlaj6xcefr27myaaaaa/C?V=bF9pbmRleAEBcHJvZmlsZV9pZAEzMDQyOTg3OTUwAXppcF9jb2RlAQFfUExJU1RfSURfATIxNTQyNjI1AV9XQVZFX0lEXwE1NzE4ODIyMzUBZ19pbmRleAEBZW1haWxfYWRkcgFtYW53b25nQHZlcml6b24ubmV0AV9TQ0hEX1RNXwEyMDEwMTEyOTAzMDAwMAFwcm9maWxlX2tleQE2NDYyNTI4Nw%3D%3D&pG9cDcvhdxyVo+ahRVAwTg

To get the deal, you're supposed to enter the promo code CYBRMDBR at checkout (toward the bottom of the page where you provide payment info).

Seems like the actual selection of qualifying titles may be much smaller than the list shown at the link.  I tried a bit (to get the Psycho BD + something else of interest -- and maybe a bit more to qualify for free shipping), but no dice.  Maybe someone else here can figure it out. tongue.gif

They sold out in what had to be less than 60 seconds. Were you able to snag a copy?

Me too. Also BTTF. I'm going to have to take a holiday from reviewing so that I can watch all this stuff. smile.gif

Thanks Rich. I also shot Ron an email and was glad that he was able to partake in the deal for which he was so patiently waiting. I was fortunate enough to snag that deal as well. I had Shutter Island from my review copy (an excellent film). Enjoy!

Thanks for the reminder on Shutter Island.  Snagged it and a Christmas present I can never find in the store to qualify for free shipping.  I have got to put the wallet away now...

Saw that deal today, too.  Couldn't pass it up this time.

I've never seen the show, though it's been recommended to me no less than 650,000 times.  It's been mired way down on my Netflix queue with no sign of making it to the top, but I'm glad I'll finally be able to see it... then get depressed that the show didn't survive, and finally lose all hope for the future of intelligent science fiction on network TV...

Guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

P.S. Is anyone else noticing weirdness on HTF today... this post came up blank the first time I posted it and had to edit all of this back in....

Glad to help. I just checked and 82% have been claimed, so there are still some left if anyone else is interested.

Dollhouse S1,  BTTF (just amazing how fast it went), and Shutter Island today.   I procrastinated about Alice and missed it, but I figure it will show up somewhere relatively

cheap somewhere in the future.

Did the BTTF deal from Amazon and picked up Relic ($7.99+tax) from J&R and M*A*S*H (finally) from the B&N site (for <$10 after 25% coupon).

Woulda probably gone for the Shutter Island deal from Amazon if I didn't already get that for just $10 from the local street vendor during their clearance sale a few weeks ago. biggrin.gif

Could never get the Target CM deal to work, which I guess is just as well...

Seems that last year's deals lived longer.  Oh well, saved even more money.  Can's stay by the computer while working.
