Once again I object to it being done at all, but if it's GONNA be done it needs to be FLAWLESS.

Looks like user error.  You can see the original markup of a post, completely unaltered by our software, by editing a post. If you edit that specific post you'll see the following markup:

<a href="/Mt-Desolation-digital-booklet/dp/B0046DTZ6C/ref=amb_link_354232162_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_s=browse&amp;pf_rd_r=009SRMM3WD1NTN0DSAH6&amp;pf_rd_t=101&amp;pf_rd_p=1277755242&amp;pf_rd_i=163856011">

If you change that to:

<a href="http://amazon.com/Mt-Desolation-digital-booklet/dp/B0046DTZ6C/ref=amb_link_354232162_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_s=browse&amp;pf_rd_r=009SRMM3WD1NTN0DSAH6&amp;pf_rd_t=101&amp;pf_rd_p=1277755242&amp;pf_rd_i=163856011">

It should work fine.

I don't think so Frank.  It's happened on posts i've put there too.

I can see why it's getting the system error (at least with the above link). That's not a valid page on hometheaterforum.com, which is to where the link is pointing. How are you pasting the link?

Trying this (using the link icon):

Seems to work.

If you're aware of a set of steps that causes the editor to remove a remote domain from a URL, please let me know.  Any information on where the markup for the posts in question came from would be very helpful.

I don't know how Eric pasted his links in that post, but those links are clearly bad. In his post right before that one, his links are correct. I suspect that he just didn't copy them correctly to start with.

It's technically possible but I will tell you for sure it has messed up MY links in the past in the same way
