John, I only watched 29 movies and 6 hour-long THRILLER episodes (but do those count as "1" film each, or  do 2 episodes = 1 movie?).

Anthology series episodes count as 1 based on the theory that they are like short films.  At least this was the thinking when the "rule" was put in play last year.

John,

I listed only a raw numerical count, and didn't assign points.  I will abide by whatever totals you arrive at with regard to the films and episodes I viewed. smile.gif

#4 is good.  I can't believe some of those totals!  195?

*bows*

You da man!

Showing up in the mail Nov 2:  Critters 4-movie set, Something Weird: Bloody Pit of Horror and Martyrs.  Thanks DD.  frown.gif

Oh man, I rocked this year!!

Think I had a total of 5.

But out of those five I watched Stagefright(1987) for the very first time.  My new favorite slasher film.

New discoveries this year:

Let The Right One In. (2007)  (without a doubt the best discovery this year, can't see the Americanization coming even close to recreating the atmosphere of this film.)

The Burning (1981) (The Birth of the Weinstein empire.................so it's appropriately lacking in taste and restraint but that's good for a slasher like this though.)

Tetsuo  (The Ironman) (1989) (Bizarre psycho-sexual-technophobic surreal short film, pretty much Cronenberg meets Lynch....in Japan.)

Popcorn (1991)  (Interesting idea....crap delivery...well...not that bad, it was just "ok".)

Dead Snow (2009)  (Not a bad little Nazi-Zombie euro thriller...pretty good atmosphere, worth the time.)

Lo (2009)  (Odd little filmed stage play, a few bad performances bring it down a few notches but different enough to loose 90 min. of your life to.)

Intruder (1989)  (Sam Raimi alumni Scott Spiegel directed grocery store thriller.....not all that thrilling but OK I guess.)

Horror Planet (1982) (Alien Rape was never so cheesy.....would have made a good MST3K.)

Altered (2006)  (Pretty damn good little alien horror show from the Blair Witch folks, I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before.)

The Falling (1987) (Interesting beginning and not much else to recommend this disjointed low budget-er set in Spain....plus putting up with Lynn Holly Johnson's lack of acting ability and Dennis Christopher's over acting make this a root canal of a film.)

A Haunting in Connecticut (2009) (if being "startled" by loud PG-13 horror film sounds is your thing (rather than any actual story or atmosphere earned scares) then this is the film for you!)

Black Christmas (1974)  (can't believe I never got around to watching this one all these years......it earns it's reputation, top notch.)

Cruising (1980)  (disturbing film, you will want to bathe afterwards and NOT imo because of homophobia...the seedy underworld is that of S&M and the workings of a disturbed mind...the question is exactly who's disturbed mind it is......Friedkin's maybe.)

Truth or Dare (1985)  (crap.)

The Devils Tomb (2008)  (Poor Cuba Gooding Jr. needs to be given parts that match his talent...this ain't it.)

Legion (2010)  (The Apocalypse of John meets John Woo................um, yeah.)

The Prowler (1981) (A bit more production polish for an early 80's slasher flick than you usually got from these low budget films....but in the end just another slasher film.)

The Deadly Spawn (1983)  (No Budget dreck with reasonably good creature FX....not very high praise.)

Peeping Tom (1960)   (8mm wishes it was this film...as do most character study serial killer films that came afterwards.)

Here is my final total. Sorry about the delay.
