Very excited about this premiere, although I have to wait to watch it tomorrow night. Looks like it is going to be a good season.

Great first episode of the season. I have to say that I was quite shocked what Damon did to Jeremy and even though you want to hate him, I can't. I felt so bad for him that the two girls he loves show nothing more than contempt for him. He kind of deserves that when it comes to Elena (after what he did), but I cannot imagine what he is going to do now.

This is one of the few shows that puts me on edge through its running time, and that's a good thing.  Also, Dobrev plays Katherine quite well, plus Katherine's probably more fun to play.

I'm really curious to find out more about this link that Elena and Katherine have with eachother. In other VD news, the actor who portrays Damon says he is total on if they ever decide to do a musical episode a la buffy the vampire slayer! I don't know how I feel about that. it wouldn't be original and I think it would almost cheapen the show.

Caroline being a vampire is awesome! I actually really love her this way. Before I couldn't really stand her character and now I am more interested in her story line.

Actually, Bonnie the witch might be able to pull off the Glee spell on the vampires.  Tee Hee.

Now, Caroline as a vampire is much more interesting, she's still a foal trying to get her legs under her at times.

I like the way they are rolling out the werewolve legend for this show, and how they pose a threat to vampires to heighten the dramatic tension all-around.  Oh, and Katherine is still smokin' hot.

Bonnie is also much better as a Vampire (IMHO).   Nice move on her to let him go.  Guilty pleasure viewing here.

I am already tired of the bad/good Katherine character.  If they drag this out for the entire season.  Ughhh.  IMHO.  Be done with it already!  Only grip of the show this season.

Did I misunderstand something that happened, or do you mean Caroline, not Bonnie?  'Cause Bonnie's still as dull as bag full of hair.

My bad (fixed problem)! I get Caroline and Bonnie confused (blame it on the books). Caroline is now a vampire, Bonnie is still a witch! LOL!

Why oh why did it have to be a repeat this past Thursday?

Yeah, I was talking about the blonde who's a vampire now.. I enjoy that character.

Really good stuff last night; though I couldn't figure out how he survived.. but that's why you hang around and decapitate him afterwards or burn the building down to make sure.

WOW! Loved last nights episode... everything about it!

Will Jeremy ever catch a break with people he wants to give his heart to? That poor kid just keeps getting shot down in all kinds of ways with the people around him. I kind of like the idea of Bonnie and him getting together. This kid deserves some happiness in his life.

Thought it was interesting how Elena is trying to be the martyr here and sacrifice herself for the sake of everyone. Usually she is so content to let Steffon take care of things. I think these looks between her and Damon will amount to something eventually and based on the previews for next week I think he will make it so.

I'm hoping Caroline doesn't screw over Matt for Wolf boy, but I have a feeling that is how the story is going to play out. Matt is yet another who seems to get the short end of the stick on this show.

I have really been enjoying this season. The storylines are great.

My biggest WOW moment of last nights episode was when Damon made Elena drink his blood. He really screwed that one up. I don't think Steffon will ever forgive him for that one and as for Elena.... I think she will slowly come to understand why he did it. The previews for next weeks show look amazing!

Anyone still watching?

If TV were comfort food, I'd put The Vampire Diaries on the food list.  The amount of plot they churn through is impressive, it keeps the viewers engaged, much more so than the usual stand-alone episode procedurals.  It's been a fun ride for a sophomore season,

I missed the first 6 minutes of this show due to recording issues. I was starting to wonder if the witch that Claus brought with him was going to end up being a good witch and was just fooling him into thinking she was really with him. During last nights ep, all I kept thinking was poor Jeremy. He has lost so many people he can't possibly lose any more. WRONG!

I'm glad they ended it the way they did with Elijah not killing Claus. This is definitely going to make for an even more interesting show.

So is Jeremy the next Ghost Whisperer?  Nice turn of events for the brothers Salvatore to set up the next season.
