Wall mount for Samsung 8000 Series LED TV - 55"

Hello, all.....

I am going to wall-mount my new 55" Samsung 8000 series LED TV, in the coming days. I am torn between a few different wall mounts, and I'm hoping that some of you can provide some advice.

 

I am looking at the Sanus LL11-B1 mount, but I'm wondering if less expensive mounts that will hold the same amount of weight will serve me as well. I have seen a few that are in the 20.00 to 40.00 range that appear to be made of similar materials and I'm wondering if any of you have experience with the Sanus mount, or even if you've used a less expensive mount which proved successful?

 

I value your opinions and would be grateful for any help you could provide.

Greetings!

 

I have a Samsung UN55C700, which is the same weight.  It is pretty light, and I would never hand over $75 to $100 for a couple slabs of perforated metal just to hang it!  Seriously, I imagine that a less costly approach would provide just as secure a mount.  I have even considered using three or four pieces of poplar (wood) to make a quick wall mount. It would probably cost about seven bucks, including a can of black spray paint.
