Season three of Sons of Anarchy is scheduled to start on Tuesday Sept 7.

Season 2 ended with the kidnapping of Jax's baby biker Abel.

Do you know if they will run season 2 before season 3 starts?

I haven't read anything that says they will run S2 prior.

They didn't last year.  Excited for Season 3, though.  Finally seeing ads on FX for it, and they look good.

For what it's worth, the DVDs and Blu-rays come out on Tuesday so people have a week or so to catch up with S2.

I know FX has aired 1 or 2 episodes from last season, either Saturday or Sunday night, each week. But it is a major pain to catch up that way, as they air at different times each week, often past midnight. I tried doing it that way last year, and just decided to rent the the DVDs instead, which is the best bet.

Anyway, I look forward to its return.

Yup.  Second year in a row it started on my son's first day of school.  Pretty excited for it.  It scratches a TV itch few shows do.

Awesome opening to season 3.  Although I can't really imagine a town like Charming run by a MC like that.  The cops are boobs.  And that can't possibly happen in real life can it?

Enjoyed the start of season 3.

Did not see that coming in the end, with Hale being killed off. And I'm trying to remember who the guy was, that was talking to Hale in his office.

Also, I was not sure what Gemma read in the newspaper, that caused her to leave the motel.

Yeah, I was surprised by that as well. If I remember correctly, the other guy was Hale's brother who had been in league with the white supremists (not because he was a bigot but because they wanted to run the Sons out of Charming) last year.

Yes that was Hale's brother that wants to be mayor.  And Gemma did see the kidnapping the paper.

Now the question is who shot up the wake?  The one guy that could've given information probably won't be able to talk, if he's still alive after Jax's beating.

Katey Segal is sooooo good in this show.

1) I really enjoyed the Hale character, so this is a bit of a bummer.  But I think they want to keep Unser and really change that dynamic.  Losing Hale is going to be a real blow to Unser and I bet it sours his "relationship" with the Club quite a bit.  So I think there could be an awesome story out of it.  Though I will miss Hale.

2) Yes, Katey Segal is extraordinary in this show.  She should be competing for Emmy's with Gemma.

Great episode last night.

I'm still curious as to what Gemma read in the newspaper that made her bolt. It doesn't appear that she knows Abel was kidnapped.

I couldn't make out what the Irish priest was saying in most of his scenes. Did he give any indication as to what he was going to do with Abel?

Can't wait for the next episode!

Enjoying the season so far even though it is still seems very much in setup mode.  Glad I was not the only one having trouble understanding some of the dialogue in the Belfast scenes.

I had to turn my volume up during the Belfast scenes and still not sure what they want to do about Abel.

I don't understand why they just don't give him back, but this is too easy so I doubt the writers do this.

I doubt they kill the boy so I guess they plan on raising him as their own, with Trixie as the mother?

Tig is an odd man.

It seems that way, as she went to her father's place instead of going back to Charming. I did think for a minute that Tara would spill the beans by accident, thus enduring more crap from Jax.

Speaking of Tara, I can't believe the administrator would just talk her out of taking a lengthy leave of absence, after getting beaten up by her last season.

I also had a difficult time trying to understand what the priest was saying, as I'm trying to figure out who is who in the Belfast scenes. Same with Clay, as he was mumbling

It will be interesting to see how things will play out, now that the priest had Cameron killed. Same goes for Gemma and the caretaker.

Next episode does look interesting. I'll just leave it at that.

I think she learned her mother died.  I thought it was Able that made her bolt like everyone else too.

Maybe they give the baby back saying they killed the guy who took him because he overstepped his bounds.

Awesome isn't the word.  The last 5 minutes freaking rocked!!!!!!!!

The show must have a huge budget, if they can film the Belfast scenes on location.

Took me a while to figure out that the cleaner was Stephen King, cleaning up the mess caused by Gemma 2.0.

Did they actually film in Belfast? I just assumed it was Los Angeles locations made up to look like Ireland and they pasted a CG Belfast skyline in.

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, they did shoot in Belfast. The standard operating procedure for when shows go to another country is to send over just the absolutely essential people (like the director, a producer, previously established actors) and use a local crew and cast any new roles locally. That way, they're keeping the cost lower by not paying to transport their entire cast and crew overseas and not paying put hundreds of people in hotels, etc.

Both me and the wife looked at each other and said that looks like SK...... as soon as he spoke we were like yup that is him!  Pretty creepy character.  Love the grabbing of the boobs.... priceless.

I might be an idiot but can anyone tell me what the hell is happening in the Belfast storyline? I have no trouble understanding the accents but I still have no idea why anyone who is Irish is doing what they're doing?

Maybe this will help... Review - Sons of Anarchy Season 3 Episode 4 Home

I had trouble figuring out what was going there as well.

^ That does help to clear it up. Thanks, Walter!

Another good Ep.  We'll have to see if Jax's plan with Stahal works.  She should have no problem taking the deal although I don't see how a fallen FBI agent can get what Jax is looking for.

No problem, Travis!

And I don't see Stahl honoring her end of the deal, since it seems personal with her to take down SAMCRO.

OK not sure if this is what's going on but tell me if I am wrong.

So the IRA wants to use Abel to get rid of Jimmy by having Samcro kill him?  Now Jax is going to set up the IRA to protect his mom, son, and club with the Feds?  Wouldn't that destroy the club since the IRA will retaliate versus them, or is he just going to give up Jimmy?
