What are you playing right now? - Page 4

Mafia II demo.  Whoa.  Gorgeous game.  Ordered the full in steam's sale for just $10.  The demo disappeared from my games list after I purchased. D'oh!  Guess I'll have to wait to play the full.  Very impressed though.  Makes me want to finally install GTA4 to compare.

Crysis 2 demo.  nice!  Very impressed with this so far.  Runs sweet on my new PC.  I hope Elder Scrolls V runs this good.

Crysis.  Sure has aged!  Ouch.  Still good looking far off, lesser close up even though everything is max'd.  Sure wish I was doing something wrong.

Red Faction Guerilla.  I love smashing stuff.  Smash...no cleanup required.  Hee!

STALKER 3 (forgot the full name)  Not as fun for me as either of the other games, at least so far.  Only just starting...but I don't like the graphics as much.  That first game was a dark and gritty, scary ride.  The second game felt like real places, overgrown areas, even if it get aimless at one point.  This one seems more streamlined with the missions, but graphically it ain't quite doing it.  Seems more empty than the other games....  more time I"m sure.

Oh, HELL yeah!  I just got the Angry Birds Seasons St. Paddy's Day update.

I finally finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.  The story ending certainly leaves the door open for more sequels to come.  Great game.

I really liked Dragon Age, so I'm looking foreward to sitting down with DA2.  I played the online demo.  The gameplay seems much different than the first.  Hey Josh, keep the updates coming.  Might be a little while before I get a chance to play.  Is it as challenging as the first?

Trying Fallout 3 again, after a nearly one year hiatus. Scrapped the previous game and started anew. Having just read "One Second After", I see this game in an even bleaker perspective. It may be too depressing for me to finish.

I'm tempted to download and play Beyond Good & Evil HD.

^^^

I'm just the opposite.  I love the bleakness....  STALKER 1 almost requires anti-depressants!  But like a good book, you can put it down and go back to your happy life again...  :D :)   :(  :*(  oh wait...

Occasional Crysis for me while waiting on Mafia 2 to download.  It's almost done so I'll prob be M2 a lot of the weekend.    Although... I've got todownload GTAIV too and it's HUGE!  16gigs!  Might be the biggest games I'll have.

Fallout has a slightly different feel after reading a realistic post-apocalyptic novel like "One Second After" :)

wiki'd that. Might make a good movie. Sounds like the TV series Jericho, kind of sort of.  I'm enjoying Jericho.

I love the crab creatures in FO3.  They looks like b-movie monsters, so it has that angle for me.

I last played the demo for Tiger Woods 12, I pre-ordered it. I feel lame in comparison to you guys... :P

Last week I gave "Dead Rising 2" a go, and didn't like it. Here's a game packed full of zombie killing, and set with everything on a tight time limit so you have no time to actually wander around a kill zombies! I'll stick to the Undead pack in Red Dead Redemption I guess. Rockstar have ruined me!

I look forward to LA Noir. That will be my next pre-order.

One Second After is like Jericho, only more realistic :)

The Lurks are really getting on my nerves right now: I'm playing a weak character with strong charisma, barter, speech skills. But I can't talk my way out of confrontations with Lurks and SuperMutants!

Those 'lurks are a pain, especially since you pretty much have to aim for the face.  I had mild success lobbing grenades and using frag mines (at least when you've got them lined up with a chokepoint, like in a cave).

Yeah, I'm currently around the big lake, by the broken overpass, off to find the First Family. The place is lousy with Lurks, no grenades, and no chokepoints. I can only run and escape their chasing limit. :)

Not sure how this character is going to play out. My previous game I put more points into weapon usage and it wasn't too bad. This guy so far, is decent in Megaton but under serious thread in the wastelands.

I built a new PC and since transferring over my save place I haven't seen a single crab-thing.  Of course, I have been doing that mission that's a game within a game sort of thing.

Before, I was using up loads of ammo on those crab things.  I didn't know you had the aim for their face!

I usually end up with good sneaker characters, being a huge fan of the Thief games (hoping Elder Scrolls will one day revamp that kind of character to make it similar to those Thief games).  In Oblivion I had too good of a sneaker and it got kind of boring.  I remember going in a cave that was completely dark and just taking everybody down one by one and not getting a single bit of damage out of it.  I like a character with some weaknesses to overcome...although not enough to take the fun out of it.

I love Civilization´s series. I´m playing a game in Civilization V, but it is very difficult to win at higher levels.

Playing Dragon Age II on the 360 right now. I think it is actually a better game then the first one.

Bought a bunch of games in the last week or so.  I was playing Demon's Souls but it was unsatisfying (very difficult and no real significant reward for success) so I've moved on to Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga instead.  I have a LOT to play through (amongst other things, I bought GTA4: Complete Edition and Borderlands: GOTY Edition) so I need to hurry this up.

I got Lifesigns for the DS on the cheap recently. It was meant to have 'RPG elements' but this seems to just mean you have a lot of text to click through.

Lost another Sunday wandering the DC Wasteland in Fallout 3. Finally met President Eden! That was a shocker!

I just finished playing through the Wii edition of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with my son (PS3 is still dead).  It's not really all that special, but it was fun enough.  I wish they'd do a Transformers game on PS3/ 360 with local multiplayer.

World of Tanks on the PC

Finished Fallout 3 :)

Not sure what's next. Got a dozen unfinished iPhone games. Tempted by Beyond Good & Evil on the 360. Or FO3 DLC. Or FO3 Las Vegas, from a friend (who lent me FO3).

Most of the Fallout 3 DLC is really good adds another 20-30 hours depending on if you are like me and explore every corner. :)

Ive never played Fallout 3 myself but I think Ill get the GOTY edition soon and then shut myself in my room for the next month!

Good idea! Cheaper to buy GOTY edition than to buy DLC. I'm shopping now for a used GOTY to buy :)

There are about 720 hours in a month, so that should be sufficient ;)

Well then that is May sorted. 7 hours sleep, 1 hour eating, 16 hours of Fallout 3, 31 days = 496 hours of gameplay. Which actually gives me an additional 16 hours for toilet breaks!

Laptop, man!  Laptop!!

Isn't Fallout 3 the game where the GOTY edition had all kinds of bugs?  That might've just been the PS3 version though.

My experience with two version on two platforms was:

The non-patched PS3 version of Fallout 3 (game only - not the GOTY edition ) was buggier than the Okefenokee swamp in June.  I had a seemingly never ending series of lockups on the PS3, usually when exiting a location.  I was so frustrated that I ended up purchasing the GOTY edition for Xbox and this version (which included the patches) was much more stable and had very few lockups.
