WELCOMING OUR INSIDERS TO HOME THEATER FORUM

Home Theater Forum has always set itself apart from other discussion forums for the fact that we pride ourselves on civil discussion.  You never need to wade through pages of arguments to find the information you are looking for.  Members of Home Theater Forum communicate on a first-name basis.  The atmosphere invites participation because our members feel confident that they will be treated respectfully.

Turns out the studios feel the same way.

Over the past few months we have brought aboard Twentieth Century Fox and Paramount Home Entertainment as Studio Insiders.  This month we welcome aboard Shout Factory.  What does this mean for our membership?   Every piece of feedback you post about a particular studio or their product in an appropriately tagged thread gets linked on their insider page for their reps to review.  Making sure that your thread is tagged with the relevant product tag (or studio tag if it’s not title specific) increases the chances of your feedback being read.   And, if you are very polite with what you have to say, you may be surprised to find a studio representative posting a reply.

It's very important that our members show the studios that they can provide constructive, polite feedback.  In doing so, we can encourage the remaining studios to join our Insiders program as well.

We also brought on Home Media Magazine as a Media Insider.  Look for their news links throughout the site.

Be sure to talk to our Insiders: Producer Robert Meyer Burnett; Film historian and preservationist Robert Harris; Digital Bits Editor Bill Hunt; Producer Charles de Lauzirika; DVD/Blu-ray Producer Van Ling and Writer, Producer, Director David Prior.
