Youtube is now all in wide format.. why doesn't it embed that way?

Just a little notice, I know this came up before but search can't find it.  But it seems kind of silly that no matter what, now that youtube is all 16:9, every embed here is 4:3

THAT is a question I've wondered about, too, Matt.

Just odd for a forum that expounds on the importance of OAR :)

Hey, I'm still trying to convince people our avatars should be 16:9.

I've discovered it's kind of silly that the HomeTheaterForum Comicon coverage (which is great) can't be viewed in the correct mode on HTF.  You have to leave HTF and watch at Youtube to see it as they recorded it ;)   Think about that one for a bit!

The formatting is set by the script that Huddler uses to set the size of the player. I will shoot them out an email to see if this can be enlarged to handle that newer wide screen formatting of the videos.

If they could just make it the new default youtube size, because that is what Vimeo has went to also.  So everything is now in the 16:9 format.  I understand the need to fix the size, but if it were fixed at the standard, that would be good ;)

I asked them to look at the size that is the default now with Youtube and use that as the guide.

This is something we are working on.  Thanks for the reminder Matt.  Its seems to fall to the bottom of our list, until we start posting coverage.
