The Columbia Classics website has a poll up to choose the next Ray Harryhausen title for Blu-Ray. The choices are MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD or SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER:

MI is ahead of GV 54% to 43%.  Golden Eye has 3%.

I would hope Columbia would consider FIRST MEN IN THE MOON for a BluRay release. Isn't this the only Harryhausen film, other than CLASH OF THE TITANS that had a true 4 track stereo soundtrack? I think it was prepared for England, but it sounds terrific on the DVD release. But for those mentioned in the poll, MYSTERIOUS ISLAND is the one I want the most.

I voted for MYSTERIOUS ISLAND.

Mysterious Island, definitely.  But hey, First Men in the Moon would be awesome, too.  For that matter, The 3 Worlds of Gulliver.  Any of those three.

Why don't they just do all of them? I'm either waiting for a Sinbad Blu set or an all encompassing Harryhausen Blu box. I won't jump until then.

I think they will do them all, eventually. This is just something to let the consumers think they have control over Sony's releases.
