The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I want to eventually pick up the I Love Lucy Movie to complete my collection.  I'm renting Survivors based on a friend's recommendation.

I'll pick up the I Love Lucy disc and the Dune Blu-ray at some point in time.

Thanks for the prcies, guys!

Just It's Complicated for me this week.
The next GI Joe set for sure when it hits sale price.  Probably Armageddon at some point, too, though it's nothing I need to have right now.  Public Enemies is slowly approaching the price point where I'd be happy to pick it up.
Looking for Armageddon but don't like the prices.  If I wanted Tombstone Best Buy has a good combo deal & Amazon an even better one but I don't want Tombstone.

You and me both, Bill.  I'm planning on exercising some patience and hoping for the price to come down soon enough.

Patience is NOT a strong suit of mine but I shall try to practice it for Armageddon.   I've got a 3 disc blu ray holder to put it in along with the Criterion  double dvd which I'm saving (for the features).    I hate to wait but I just can't see paying so much for a bare bones release (even though the anamorphic ws blu is supposed to be quite nice).

I might go the Amazon route on Armageddon, Bill....but I wouldn't be surprised--like I said before--to see deals popping up on that title pretty soon.
You guys are passing up Tombstone for Armageddon? Really? Wow. To each their own.

Exactly.

But, then again, I'm easily swayed.  Like a feather in the wind, sometimes.

Nada for me this week.  All too expensive.
The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus into the Netflix queue. I didn't catch it in the theater, and I would probably blind buy it, except I did that for The Brothers Grimm, so no. Maybe that sale Observe and Report, bless its black heart.

I meant to mention that our own HTFer, Scott McGillivray told us in a thread (I think it was back at Academy Award time) that he had a bit role in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

That's pretty cool!

HERE'S the post!  I've revived the thread by asking him where we might find him on the disc...

Happens to me all the time.

Armageddon blu ray at Wal Mart $20 minus 10% (brother's employee) discount = $18 + tax (& I didn't have to wait).

Speaking of Wally World, The Great Mouse Detective was $10 when I walked in today.  Perfect price for me.  Might wanna check it out local stores for other deals on Warner TV, too.

Great Mouse Detective for $10?  Might have to suck it up and head over there for that.  I loved that movie growing up!!  Thanks, Jason!
For those who want the Armageddon BD, but not Tombstone, maybe we can pool together and have Amazon ship the titles separately.

I only want Tombstone myself.

No probs.  They've had the new Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Pete's Dragon in the recent past at the same price point.

I bought Bedknobs and Broomsticks when it was released a few years back. Pete's Dragon is definitely one I need to add to my collection.

No pics yet, Sam...and I haven't seen the film myself...but HERE'S A POST by Richard Gallagher (who reviewed the Blu-ray) saying he checked it out and that Scott is involved in an especially funny scene.

I think I'm definitely going to have to check this film out now.  Maybe after its release someone will be able to post screen caps or something...

Just a heads up that my local Costco had both Tombstone and Armageddon Blu-Rays for $18.99 each, with $10 off instantly if you buy both on the same receipt.

Wish I would have known that yesterday...

Hmmmm.  I haven't been to my local BJ's Wholesale Club in quite awhile.  Sometimes they have similar types of deals.

Jeff:  Did that look like a Costco-only type deal...or was it something attached to their copies of the titles?
It was definitely a Costco only deal.  It was printed out by computer on an 8.5x11 sign attached to the blu-ray section.

Really surprised me when I saw it, because they hardly ever have the best price on individual blu-rays.

Thanks!

I actually stopped by my local BJs last night and they didn't have either title.  Oh well.  The only "sale" they had going on was Up In the Air on Blu for $19.99.
I was in Target today...they have a display of $9.99 BD titles, although I can only recall seeing Edward Scissorhands...  Pricing is good through 07/10/10.
