Is My Velodyne SPL Dead??

So last night we had a power outage, only a few minutes long. My Velodyne SLP10 is plugged into a Monster 3500 power conditioner. I turn the TV on tonight and the sub is making strange beeping noises, hard to describe, kinda like the old dial-up modems.

The woofer moves a little. I tried to unplug and plug back in to a different plug, but to no avail.

Any ideas??

Thanks,
Greg

So I called Velodyne, its definitely the amp, guess it was its time. It was 10 years old. They charge 230 to fix. Do I have any options or is that reasonable?

Monster....don't they have an equipment guarantee?  I think I'd be screaming at them...  Other than that, $230 is a reasonable fee.

I have two Panamax and two Belkin line conditioners on my home theater systems.  They have always re-set perfectly after power outages and the dreaded power surges (like after an ice-storm).  No surge-damaged equipment.  Something seems very amiss with your Monster 3500.
