*** Official REPO MEN Review Thread

While the premise of a world where artificial parts are repossessible by repo men sounds outlandish, the movie doesn't go out of its way to explain how it could be lawful for such extreme measure to be undertaken by such repo men in repo-ing artificial body parts due to defaulted loans. It boggles the mind that it would ever come to this. But if you can get pass such boggleness, it's an okay "hunter becomes the hunted" story, and it tries to humanize Remy (Jude Law)'s circumstances as a family man in a brutal profession. Forest Whitaker plays Jake, Remy's best friend and partner in the repo business, Whitaker tries to elevate the material, but script doesn't do him any favors. Liev Screiber is an odd choice to play Frank, their boss. The cast is deserving of a better script.

I give it 2 stars, or a grade of C.
