has been released in France. Is it worth picking up? I say yes if

- you like the film
- know French (no subtitles)
- can play region B locked material
- don't mind 4% PAL speed up (it's 1080i50 but deinterlaces correctly to 1080p50)

2 supplements, the better of which goes into a lot of detail how the voice
of Farinelli was created.

I've always heard there is no PAL speed-up on Blu-ray. Can anyone confirm or deny?

There isn't supposed to be, but there have been reports of Blu-ray's that used PAL speedup. But a movie being released in 1080i/50 doesn't necessarily mean there's PAL speedup. It could be shot in 25 fps.

Farinelli is shot on 35mm for theatrical presentation and uses the world standard of 24 fps.
