I bought a new Seagate 2TB External Drive. The power adapter has an arrow on it for "US/CN" and then a button below it that says "Push". If you press the button then it simply depresses and when you release the button it goes back to it's normal position. I have never seen anything like it. The only thing I can think of is that when you plug it in all the way into the socket it goes to 110 volts?

Hey Jason -
I believe that when you push the button you should be able to slide the prongs up and then replace it with a different wall plug. We have those types for our BlackBerry's where I work. Allows you to change it to foreign plugs.

Thank you, Colin!
I do see that the adapter is dual voltage. I don't really see the convenience for the end-user. It's not like they gave me an 220v adapter plug. Perhaps this only reduces the cost for the manufacturer?

It's not to go to 220 per se, it is for the many different outlets around the world that dont use the same plug config we do.
