The Donna Reed Show: SEASON 4 - Page 12

Just watched the episode "One of Those Days," by one of the series' best writers, John Whedon. After the first five minutes, I don't think there was a punch line in the entire show - but it was an absolutely marvelous and moving episode. I can't think of another sitcom that would even try to do a show like that.

I am watching season four, I went out of order and jumped from the middle of season two onto season four. I have season three and have not finished two as of yet but was half way through. After reading on this site about all of the mystery of this portion being out of circulation for so many years I had to see it. I am really enjoying it and not watching it in order.
I watched first Shelley Fabares episode with "Johnny Angel" first. I had seen it as a child and forgotten about the storyline.
And LOVE IT !!! I realized the set had changed dramatically from the first two seasons. I noticed from one to two there were some tweaks along the way. I was very impressed at season four Stone home's set change. Not having watched three yet does it resemble the home from two more or four ?? Just curious if the major set change happened with three or four. I must say it has to be one of the most underrated series ever produced !!! Not sure why it did not attain the status of "LEAVE IT TO BEAVER" and "LUCY" ?? Donna was so subtle and the series touched on so many issues that seem dated today. However it is still one of my TEN favorites. Now I wish that someone would bring out "MAKE ROOM FOR DADDY"
loved that one too.............

Seasons 5 and 6 of Make Room For Daddy have been available for years. I got my copies for $6.99 each on eBay a few years back, although I've only watched a few so far. There are also various public domain releases out there that contain a few of the earlier Jean Hagen episodes.

I too would love more "Make Room for Daddy," a seriously neglected show.
