Pioneer is introducing two new receivers in April. The VSX-820 ($299) and the VSX-520 ($229). Both 5.1 receivers with HDMI 1.4 and Dolby ProLogic IIz. No specs listed yet but I'm not expecting much. Still, HD audio for around $200 (street price) will be nice for those on a serious budget. I wonder what Onkyo, Yamaha, Sony, H/K and Denon have around the corner.
With BluRay players and discs coming down in price and HD audio receivers near $200 all we need is a good affordable 5.1 speaker set (say, $400?) for those who keep asking for it all for under $700.
