Best projector for under $1000

Just curious what you guys recommend for a projector, I'm new to the projector scene but will be in the market in a few weeks for a new tv and thought I may go this route.  What size do you recommend, I want a 1080p.  The wall size it 8' wide (would be larger but there's a door on that wall) and the ceiling height is around 7' 6".

I don't need to go as large as possible, I want good quality also.  Thanks.

It's a no brainer.  The Optima HD-20 right now is the best for under $1000.

I agree with mattCR. I just bought the new Mits. HC3800 and should have it Friday. It costs $1295 with a free bulb rebate. So it would be about $1000 and $295 for the bulb. But you're still out of pocket $1295.
