PHE Press Release: The African Queen (Blu-ray) ** Updated menu screenshots** - Page 2

What are the chances this will be in 1.37:1 as opposed to 1.33:1?  I'm just curious.  On Blu-ray especially, it seems like that would be the norm for older films.  I know 1.33:1 isn't losing much..but it's not technically correct, right?

Again, I'm just curious.  Sorry if it's nitpicking.  What do you guys think?

Sometimes, when I see an older movie, and they show scenes from within a movie theater, there's always rounded corners on the film that they're watching, I assume, because it's being shown in 1.37:1.  Is that correct?  Or does that have to do with the equipment showing the film?  Same thing when they window-box older (pre-1953) films.  They have rounded corners.  Then, sometimes they zoom in after the titles, and you can see where some (a little) picture is lost.

Less important than losing some image, but just a very minor detail (well, I guess 1.37:1 to 1.33:1 is also minor), is that I also like those rounded corners, and it would be nice to replicate that experience that I've seen in pre-1953 theater projections at home.

So, there's just 2 minor details that I've observed.

Just a thought.
