The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Seems like a good price for Lost S5 on BD.
Thanks guys...

Looks like all the BLU deals are gone..

I'm only interested in  "the hurt locker" Blu ray but not willing to pay 24.99 for it, even the SD-DVD version is overpriced.. maybe later down the road....
Nothing for me...a possible rental for The Hurt Locker based on alot of good reviews/Oscar talk.
As badly as I want Moon, I'm not willing to pay $26 for any Bluray.  That sort of eliminates my planned blind-buy of The Hurt Locker, too.  I don't know what the studios are thinking, it's almost like they don't want me to buy their product.
For sure Lost S5 on BD.  That's just a stupid price for The Simpsons when you know it'll be down to $20 in 6-8 weeks, just like all the other seasons.  A lot of other stuff is in the Netflix queue, though.

Oh, and I can recommend The Appeared.  Pretty good little thriller.  Goliath is just alright.  I haven't had a chance to watch Superheroes or Breaking Point yet.  What else?  Fame and Halloween II are two different kinds of terrible.  And I really liked Patton Oswalt in Big Fan.

Thanks, as always, guys.
I have Cast Away, and Death Race  on Blu coming from Amazon. They are right at the same sale price showing above. I just need to pull my disc 2 from my Cast Away DVD, put it in a 2 disc Blu-ray case, and i am good!

I also have to do Cliffhanger.

Finally, id blind buy Moon, but not for $25. A rental will have to do for now.

Thanks as always guys.

Ah, IN PRAISE OF OLDER WOMEN, the celebrity skin classic...

Definitely Lost S5 for $19.99. I can't recall when Lost seasons were that cheap, let alone a very recently released season.

Does Best Buy do price matching on their own stuff after the fact?  I paid $56.99 for Lost S5 a couple weeks ago.  Would they credit me the difference?

Thanks as always, Mike and Pat!

I'm pretty sure they will.  If it's the same product, then they should have a 30 day price guarantee OR everyone would just buy the new set and return it unopened  with the old receipt for the same result.

I'll be picking up The Simpsons: Season Twenty Blu-ray.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

I think that may be true for the DVD but the Blu-ray probably won't be under $30 so I'm not waiting in the hopes of saving $7.

I just have a feeling we're gonna see it somewhere-Target, BB, Sam's, Costco, Amazon-for a sub $30 price sooner rather than later.  Besides, I have plenty of other discs to tide me over even if that "sooner rather than later" turns out to be sometime in 2011.
>>  paid $56.99 for Lost S5 a couple weeks ago.

Wow, how'd you miss the first-week sale on it?  Much more reasonable price, and BB had a bonus disc, an extra slip cover, and a Dharma luggage tag with it...
Well I picked up the season today at BB and the regular sticker price is $49.99 (on sale for $19.99) - the $56 seems really high

I was planning on blind buys for Hurt Locker and Moon, but not at 25 bucks a pop. These pre-holiday prices are a real bummer.

Some of Amazon's free Video on Demand deals:

Man, Moon was my favorite movie of 2009 but I won't pay that for it when I know it will be in bargain levels in mere weeks...
I have heard really good things about Moon. but I'll wait until the price it a bit lower for a blind buy.  I miss the Christmas BD pricing already, December prices were really nice.

It looks like there are some decent post-holiday Blu prices...just not on new releases.
Amazon has Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pinocchio, Monsters Inc. and Ratatouille BDs priced from $17.49 to $19.99.
Happened to be in WalMart this morning.  One of the local ones had ST: Voyager S1 for $19.96.  The new editions of Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Pete's Dragon were both $10.  In case anyone's interested.

Basically more or less what I expected, which is still better than how it was this time last year (for catalog titles and older releases).  I'm expecting to take a break from buying new/recent releases probably until mid-spring or so.

I've got more than enough discs in my to-watch-queue anyway, especially w/ that big 5-season set of Lost on BD and the 2-season BD set of Rome (both from the couple 70%-off? Amazon deals).  I'm only ~1/2 way thru S2 of Lost so far (after ~2 weeks) -- had thought about trying to watch them all by start of the OTA broadcast of S6, but I think I won't bother/want to catch S6 during broadcast since I don't think I can stand watching just 1 episode per week combined w/ all the commerical breaks.

I wish you good luck in not hearing the ending of the series when everyone bitches about it all summer.

I'm about halfway through on S2, and after mapping it out, if I watch 3 eps a night, I'll finish up S5 on Feb. 1.

Those prices are phenomenal.

I guess that means I'll need to stay away from HTF all summer long then.

Previously, I also managed to hold off on the final seasons of Six Feet Under and Sopranos too -- helps that I never venture into the TV section anywhere.  Wish me luck -- oh wait, you already did.

Last Action Hero in widescreen!  FINALLY!!!!! And in HD, no less!

There's even some sort of BD-Live trivia track.
Yes, Cameron, considering that Lost 5 just streeted over a month ago, that's an excellent price. I don't have 1 & 2 on BD and might pick 'em up. Of course, $24.99 would be even nicer <g>!
