Integra DTR-9.9..is it good?

Hey guys, was just wondering if you might be able to help answer this?

not too familiar with audio equip. so just wondering...the Integra DTR-9.9, is it good? and how much does it run approx?

I would say yes, they should be very good. They are supposed to be the little bit higher end Onkyos. Same company owns them. It's my understanding that you can't buy them online. You have to get them from a local retailer. I don't know about the prices.

I looked at the site for a dealer in Raleigh, that does custom installs. He has the info on them, but not a price. If you have a local dealer, check with them for price. Someone here at the forums might have one, and can tell you what they paid.

 yep that was my understanding as well

i was thinking of either the 7.8 or the 9.9 but i think the 9.9 is too expensive, so i was thinking of the 7.8 because i can get it for a good price

 I would assume it's very nice. I have the DTC-8.9 processor and this is very similar but with amps. You can google for reviews. List price on the DTR-9.9 is $2600. List on the DTR-7.8 is $1300. If you're not familiar with audio equipment it's unlikely you'd appreciate what you'd get for the extra $1300.

 yea i dont know much in audio equip. but i would like to know what is the difference between DTR and DTC/DHC, one is amp/preamp, but what does it mean? whats the difference? dont the DTR and DTC/DHC work the same? whats the need for the amp/preamp?

not sure if you are still looking but local guys have the "b" stock for $1,400 new in the box. the only diff w/ b stock is the warranty is 2 yr instead of 3 yrs. not refurb; was supposed to be demo stock or something... they sell the a stock as $2,400 now and with the new units coming out... pretty cool.   looks like it has it all.
