J.T: "People are villains for a reason. Don't ever trust 'em. Worse than that: Don't ever trust women."

I'm surprised that only one person has mentioned Sandra but so far it's looking like she can really control the game right now if she switches to the heroes. If there are no more HIIs and she switches either Pav or Russell will go home next week.

JT was very lucky that he had Stephen handling the strategery in his first season when he won the game.

under normal circumstances which i give 80% chance to i would say bye bye heroes

however u never know how things go down but it would be stupid for any of the villains to switch even if some feel they have a better chance with heroes they will always be outcasts and only be used by the others

if a villain switches they will only get used until they are no longer needed, which however is pretty much the same as staying on the villains as when it will get to final 5 and 4 they will probably still be picked off unless of course somebody (RUSSEL) can pull something off

it is definitely fun to see i do like parv and her flirting ways and i LOVE russel and how he plays so a final vote between them 2 would be lovely

Fantastic episode.  Challenge was good.  After some of the brutal challenges they've thrown in a lot of physical challenges that are actually easier for the women to win.  It's why all that physical threat stuff is usually BS. Parv played really well and was ahead of everyone this week.  The heroes have been outthought at every turn.  Aside from winning challenges every so often, I'm struggling to remember a good strategic play by them.

I think the best part for us viewers was the complete surprise of her actions.

First, we see Parvati start to speak.

Then, she gives an HII to Sandra and we're all thinking...ah, but Jerri got all the votes.

Then, she pulls out the second HII and gives it to Jerri.

And then it hits us (the audience), it hits the Heroes (especially JT), and it hits Russell (who realizes he's not in control).

What a play!

'Survivor' star Russell Hantz arrested in Louisiana

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2010/04/23/russell-hantz-arrested-lafayette/

Quote:
Russell Hantz of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains was arrested early this morning in Lafayette, La. According to a spokesperson for the Lafayette Police Department, the reality TV star was taken into custody at 2 a.m., 15 minutes after an emergency call reported a physical confrontation near Justin Street. Hantz was charged with simple battery and released at 4:30 this morning. No bail was required, but he was given a misdemeanor summons and a court date scheduled for June 24. CBS declined to comment.

Some of the comments on EW are amusing.

does cause I’m Russell Hantz…”

I heard about that story, apparently a witness saw Russell push someone.  When police approached the "pushed person" they stated nothing ever happened.  Police arrested Russell based on eyewitness testimony and not any formal charges filed by the "victim". And apparently it was at a bar that he owns.

thanks Mike, I must have missed that or forgot it after reading that.

If Amanda was smart, she'd just read the clue outloud amongst all 3 of them, and then "it's AWN!" back at camp looking for the idol, may the best player find it.

Or better yet, tear it up into little pieces and flush it down the toilet.
Well...Candace really screwed that up.
Exactly Patrick.  Just read it outloud.  She didn't steal it, it was sitting on the floor.  The best thing to do would burn it or flush it.  Then the idol can't be found, can't be a factor in the game anymore.  Candace really is a moron isn't she?  At least with Heros she is in the top four.  Now she is top 5?  Why would she ever trust Russell anyway? If anything she should know by now not to trust Russell.  Plus she just lost four votes in the jury (Colby, Rupert, Amanda, and possibly Sandra)

Definitely Sandra.  Sandra was begging her to stay with the Heroes.  They would have had the votes to change the game.  Sandra really did go out on a limb to flip to the Heroes...and Candace blew it.

Sandra must've realized she might as well vote with Candace because no one was going to trust her after the way that all went down.

Didn't she just watch Russell swear on his kids life to JT and then blindside him?  I still don't understand her reasoning.

I must say, Courtney's expressions and whispers during tribal council slay me.

Russell blew it by playing the idol, but I understand
why he was nervous.

Sorry to see Amanda go.  Certainly my favorite eye-candy.

Apparently the reward included an overnight stay but not a shower.

Who else thought it was gross seeing the unwashed trio on the bed in that historic house? I'm sure the people who work there really appreciated that.

If I were on the show, I'd value a shower right now much more than watching a movie, probably more than sleeping in a bed.

Really glad this show isn't in smellovision.

It was a wasted play, but if you're Russel, it's a gamble you have to take.  And Parv rolling her eyes was crazy.. he bailed her out twice, so..

Still, it makes the alliances a real scramble.  But eliminating Amanda was the right move for the villains, and definitely for Russell.

totally agree with you Matt.  That really bugged me when Parvait did that.  I also agree that this vote benefited Russell the most.

Unrelated....As I have said before I think Candace and Jeri are both emotional players.  Meaning they let their emotions dictate what they do in the game.  Both of them came to Russell after a huge blindside (i.e. Boston Rob, J.T.). I think both of them became so enamored with Russell due to how much power he has in this game.  Having said that I still think it was the wrong move for both of them.  ....and now that I've said that, one of these two will probably be in the final 2 or 3 because they are such weak non-deserving players.
Once they get to the final 2 or 3 they will tell you they mastermined the entire thing by joining Russell and then letting him be the evil villian, and that their worthlessness in decisions and actions was only a ploy!

Wow.

Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow.

Who'dve thought the simple phrase, "I'm closer to Parvarti than you think," would sink someone.

I didn't even get the nuance of how what Danielle said would cause such a game-changing moment.

It's amazing to me, though that Colby is still in this game.  First, he drops out of an immunity challenge (when he is in an amazingly weak position in the game) for some doughnuts and a milk shake.  Then, in the next immunity challenge, he comes in dead last because he couldn't dig up the maze peg fster than anyone else.  I'd say he's checked out and the rest are just keeping him around because they know he is no threat at all.
This season is crazy.  Goes to show you what having experienced players will do to the strategy.  Russell's game of "strategy by chaos" is tremendously entertaining.  May not end well for him, but it's entertaining.  He now can take out Parvati.  Question is how to win over the jury.  Maybe by taking out Parv, then allying with Sandra and Jerri to take out the last two heroes?  He could win a jury vote against Sandra and Jerri.  And then you throw in the complication of the HII and Sandra.  I have no idea what is coming.  Bravo, producers.

One day the book will be written on this show and how it
successfully fools its viewers week after week.  I sit
absolutely dumbfounded at the impossibility of predicting
the result of each show.

I have a love/hate relationship with Russell.  I love watching
him.  I am actually rooting for him to win based on the
fact that someone as manipulative and dirty as him has
been able to survive.

But that's the problem.  How has Russell been able to
survive this long?  Clearly, his teammates see through
him and realize he is the biggest threat to all of them.

...or do they?

I go into every show thinking, "this is going to be
Russell's last day."  Somehow, he manages to survive.

This week he clearly dug his grave by trying to
divide Pavarti and Danielle.  I think everyone sees
what he did.  Even Courtney, in the jury box, is
raising her arms up in the air as if saying, "Hey
dummies...don't you see?!"

Even if Russell manages to remain in the game
up through the final show, I have to agree with
Charlie above that it's going to be near impossible
to win over the jury.

As skeptical as I am about the validity of what
we are being shown each week I readily have to
admit that this the most entertaining show that
I am currently watching.  I am a huge, huge fan.

Sadly, Russell is going to make it to the end and NOT win, AGAIN! he really plays a great strategic game, but he has to learn how to do this without pissing off every member of the jury. Why can he NOT figure that out?

I love how Russell can come right out at tribal and lie about Danielle like that. She probably thought he was going to be caught in a lie and yet he never caves! Russell is one of my favorite players. I really hope Russell can get the boys to go with him and vote the girls out one by one.

This season has been awesome!
