IR Remote How to and What to Buy

I think this is a basic question that i'm making more complicated than it needs to be.

My question is this...As of now, i want to use the IR remote from my ONKYO tx-nr807 to control everything in my setup...But all of the components are out of sight (behind the seating area), about a 20ft run from the TV.  I'd like to be able to point the remote at the TV to control everything.  Is there some sort of kit i can buy to connect all of the components and run a receiving device to mount on top of the TV?  Or do i have to run an IR receiver from each component to the top of the TV (The place i want to point the remote)

The devices i'd like to control:

DirecTV HD DVR
Samsung PN58B860
Onkyo TX-NR807B
Samsung BDP1600

What's the cheapest way to accomplish this?

In the future, i'm going to buy a harmony RF remote...but don't want to spend the money right now....

I think i'm gonna hold off though and buy the Harmony 900 in a few weeks...BIG bonus check coming i hope!
