Home theater seating - in the living room??

Guys, I'm furnishing my whole place. I don't have the luxury of a dedicated home theater like some folks have in the basement or elsewhere (I have a spare bedroom, but I don't think that would work well because it's upstairs with the other bedrooms and would be a tight fit). So, like many folks, I have my living room doing double duty.

I was thinking of furnishing it with a reclining fabric loveseat, and two reclining leather chairs (all forming an L). On the chairs, I'm having a hell of a time finding ones I like. I want something contemporary. I am single, though, so I'd rather it be inviting to guests ;). My living room is 12x17, so there isn't excessive room - chairs should be 32-39" wide.

Would home theater chairs work in a living room? Anyone do that? They have the modern look I like, though they do have those cupholders in the arms. See the example below. (I like how the recliner control is inside too.)

It would be unusual in a dual purpose LR, but it's your choice. My room is the exact same size, but it's a separate room in the basement. I didn't use that type of chair because they are too wide when assembled. We went with a reclining love seat. I guess it depends on how many people you need to seat, and the seating arrangement. 3 of those assembled will be 9-10' wide.
