For comparison, Samsung's higher range (series 8) televisions have 240hz and faster response time. Though there's a noticeable difference in the smoothness from 60 to 120Hz, the difference between 120 and 240Hz is almost undetectable (please weigh in if you disagree). Therefore the presence of series 8 in the market has brought down the price of an already elite series 7.
