Sherwood AV receiver help!

Thread Starter
I've recently bought a PS3 and am trying to set it up to watch blu-ray with my Sherwood RD 6103r amp.

The PS3 is connected to the amp via optical cable and is set to bitsteam.

The amp is connected to 5.1 speakers and is set to dolby digital.

All speakers are working correctly except my subwoofer.

I had it all connected the same from my DVD player and the subwoofer also worked.

Any ideas what it could be?

I also have the PS3 connected via phono (as it except 2 audio outputs) and the sub works in this mode, so it's definately connected correctly.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The RD-6103R is quite an old receiver and predates "bitstream".  Please try PCM.  If that fails, you will need to use the analog output.
