Just wondering if I will be able to notice the extra video clarity of Blu-Ray DVDs on my system that has an older Sharp XV-Z10000U projector since it only only does 720p/1080i?
I believe both my current DVD player,a Pioneer DV-47AI, and Yamaha RX-1400 receiver supports upconverting but I was wondering if I have to upgrade the projector to really get the full benefits of the Blu-Ray.
EDIT:
After searching around numerous other forums, it appears there are lots of variables here -- e.g. viewing distance, screen size, quality of the projector, etc. So let me just add that I'm viewing in a home theater room at a range between 8-12 feet away and the screen size if 90" diagonal (I think).
Thoughts/opinions appreciated!!
Thanks!!
