Anyone know when this is coming?  It's been quite a while since sn 6.

I hope Sony isn't done with this show.

Sony pretty much closed up shop on its classic tv dvds. I think our best hope at this point is if they license their product to outside distributors like Shout Factory or MPI; otherwise we're likely not to see much more from them. The Jeffersons has long been stalled, along with All in the Family, Archie Bunker's Place, Mary Hartman, Green Acres, the Flying Nun and a host of other sitcoms that a lot of people on this board would like to have. It's sad, but that's just the way they've been doing business the past couple of years. I for one am sort of surprised because for a while there, they were very prolific in bringing classic tv to dvd...

I don't understand it either. What, to Sony, is wrong with the older series that they close up shop on that side of it, and only release the current stuff?

They think sales aren't good enough to justify it, and now they can use the economy excuse as an added bonus. Sony has never seen anything from the 20th century other than Seinfeld to the end if it had more than six seasons. That's why we got all of Sanford and Son & Good Times; only six seasons each.

Well, they did finish Bewitched, with all 8 seasons.  But that's the only other one I can think of that went longer than 6 seasons that has been completed.

Congratulations to all the "Seinfeld" fans for having gotten all of that. They deserved it. But, we who like things other than "Seinfeld" always get the short end of the stick.

Didn't someone awhile back mention that Sony said they were planning on starting up a burn on demand type program for older shows?

Married With Children, 11 seasons.

Yes, I know, that's pushing the boundaries of "classic TV", but the first run network airings were over with before the DVD era began (1997, to be exact).

I forgot that was completed.
