"Gone with the Wind" in HD in Toronto - Saturday Nov 14

Selected Cineplex theatres will be screening "Gone with the Wind" in HD on Saturday, November 14 in Toronto.

I'm tempted to go, but I'm not sure about the HD thing. As far as I know, some of the theatres listed don't have digital projection. I've heard that some of the theatres that played the HD version of "The Wizard of Oz" recently used the consumer grade digital projectors that they use before the main feature for ads and other junk.

Does anyone know more about this?

^ I can't say for sure but I would imagine that it'll be exactly like The Wizard Of Oz presentation- some theaters will terrible and some will be good.

if it's Fathom Events, then it will use that consumer grade projectors because they tap into cinemas that have installed these cheap projectors for ads before movies (including those slideshows). but ultimately, it doesn't have enough brightness. your home cinema is better. imho. but if it's a TRUE festival event using the restored 35mm negative or a completely digital (perhaps BD) fully powering a true commercial projector then that's worth it.

imho fathom events is a scam.
