I bought a onkyo tx-sr507 receiver (http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=TX-SR507&class=Receiver&p=i) and I have my TV, blu-ray, and computer all hooked up via HDMI and output via HDMI to my TV.

Everything looks great and sound good, but when I turned the TV off the sound gets alot louder.  I was wondering if this is normal and why it does this?

Another strange thing is when playing music on my computer, sound only comes out of the left, right, and center speakers - not the subwoofer and back surround sound speakers.  I thought maybe its the sound card in my computer, but when I turn the TV off, sound becomes louder and it comes out of all the speakers and subwoofer.

Thanks,

Jerry
