KDS HD LEEZA (Video Scaler) HEEELLPP!!!

I just got home with a brand new Sam Fuller Collection and want to watch some movies but someone has been screwing around with my scaler!!

I fired up the pj, turned on the player and all I see on the film screen is "DVI Searching"... for 15 mins. now!!

I've tried turning off the HD Leeza (to no avail mind you) and restarted both projector and Pioneer player multiple times. It doesn't even seem to be the case of the Leeza being on the wrong input because ALL of the blue lights on the front panel are flashing.

I can't even seem to access the main menu though, which is driving me insane! At least then I'd be able to double check that my inputs and settings are correct and make adjustments.

What can I do to save my movie night??

Is there a way that I'm not thinking of to force the menu screen as it won't normally pop up while "searching"... what should I do?

I hit the power button on the front panel since the remote is not even responding while searching and nothing happens. I hold it down and the blue lights dissappear for the duration that my finger presses ont he button, but as soon as I let go, they start flashing again.

Please help me!!

What happened to my scaler and how can I fix this... preferably in the next 30 minutes so I can enjoy the rest of the evening!

Thanks!!!

Have you tried turning off the surge protector it is plugged into?  (It is plugged into a surge protector isn't it?  )  Barring that, have you tried simply unplugging the power cord, letting it sit for a few minutes, then reconnecting the plug and turning it back on?  This often works when equipment is "hung" and won't do a normal shut-down.

Obviously too late for movie night, but maybe this will help for the future.

Thanks for the response,

I haven't attempted to unplug or turn off the surge protector as there are half a dozen cables running through it, but I guess it couldn't hurt... I did unplug the unit itself however, several times, and attempted to repower it up. Each time upon plugging it back in, it would automatically start up again with the blue inputs flashing all across the front panel. The weird thing was that even though the unit was unplugged, the "DVI Searching" alert remained present on the film screen throughout. I might have to call in my tech guy if the surge protector idea doesn't help. How frustrating!

I should also note that the "granny button" on the remote which supposedly reverts back to the units original default settings allowing you to once again access the menu screen, is utterly useless. How stupid is it that you cannot bring up the menu after selecting the wrong input?!
