I am finally ready to build my dream home theater, but need advice on something. I am planning on installing a sony vw200 projector and using a stewart cinewide screen(103 inch wide by 50 inch high). With an Anamorphic lens setup. However, our design has to feature a rather large art canvas which is roughly the same size as the screen. If I use the stewart cinewide, I cannot incorporate the Art into the stage set up,and will have to downgrade to a retractable flat sceen, and no anamorphic lens.My dilema is this: Is the anamophic lens and cinewide/curve screen really worth it?The group's thoughts ,comments, ideas, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love to use an anamorphic lens and 2.35:1 screen but I'd go the DIY route and build the screen myself. I don't see why anyone would buy a screen. If you need acoustic transparancy, then the material is available. But only you can can make this call. It is worth it to me at one price point and worth it to you at a much different point. Can you see the system in action? Can you view pictures of other similar systems online?
