The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Bestbuy.com has it for $20.99 pre-order with in-store p/u. Price won't last much longer though.

Have seen it as low as $22.99 on Amazon but the price went back up and they didn't price match Best Buy during the past week.
Doctor Who on DVD, North by Northwest, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Blu. How is that for a combo of titles.

Thanks guys!

This was the big November WRU, guys...as far as number of prominent titles was concerned.

Kinda harkens back to the old days.

Phew!  Lots out there for perusal this week.  Something for almost everyone.

I'm very excited by DVD Beaver's screencaps of It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol (1951) on Blu-ray.

Oh.  And all you US RoundUppers (to whom this applies):  Don't forget to set back your clocks!

thanks for the update.
I might be able to price match from another story once I get the final price.
I did notice that best buy was selling it for 20 bucks.
any truth to the idea that walmart star trek bluray includes a dvd like the wolverine bluray?

The following Blu-ray titles are available from Amazon at even lower prices than mentioned in Mike's first post.

It's a Wonderful Life 20.99
Love Actually 13.99
North by Northwest 20.99
Rocky: The Undisputed Champion 52.49
Say Anything 17.49
The Taking of Pelham 123 19.99

There might be some more titles with reduced pricing too, but don't hesitate to order from Amazon because I think the prices will go up between now and Tuesday as these are preorder pricing.

Don't forget that BB's online site also has the extra $10 off deal if you buy one of the catalog Star Trek movies on BD (for $17.49 each) to go along w/ the new one.  I did that deal on Friday and picked up First Contact w/ the new movie on preorder for release day pickup.

However, as usually the case, don't wait too long w/ these deals as they may expire very soon.

I've had the two Zorro sets on pre-order for forever and hadn't noticed the price got cut even more.  Thanks for the heads up Mike!  :D

Definitely in for Simpsons S12 for cheap.  Gump at some point, just not right now.

(Traitor, Sunshine Cleaning, Primal Fear and Cinderella Man are all attractive, but I dunno...)

I did the same thing on Thursday.

I ordered the new Star Trek film for $20.99, in store pick up, and Star Trek: First Contact for $17.49, and then got the $10 off, making the in store pick up First Contact $12.49 and the new film $15.99 when it streets for in-store pick up!!!  Best deal on those, on Blu-ray!!!

Walmart.com has the Blu-rays of
North By Northwest $19.86
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Season 1 $32.86

You have to pay for shipping, but if these prices hold until Tuesday morning,
you can do free Site to Store shipping, although it is slower than many other retailers
since it is NOT like BestBuy, where they just pluck it off the shelf for you.  Wal-Mart
actually ships a copy to the store and you have to wait about a week for it to arrive,
even if it is a item they have in stock at the store.

Wow.  Looks like a great week.  Definitely interested in Blurays of "It's A Wonderful Life" and "North By Northwest."  A lot of other titles have me tempted as well!
Pretty big week for me. I'll be picking up the Blu-rays of Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season One and North By Northwest. I think I'll ask someone to pick up the two Walt Disney Treasures as a Christmas gift for me.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

I think it was a last minute change and if it's listed in those store's computers for November 3, you might find it on their shelves. Since it's not in any print ads this week, I think you'll end up paying the full price rather than the sale price that they'll probably have next week.

Wow, love Jimmy Stewart in the Jet Li pose. Looks like an outtake of Zuzu: Warriors from Magic Savings and Loan

For what it's worth, Best Buy is now charging $23.99 for the new Trek on Blu and $19.99 for the others.  The $10 off deal is still valid.

Thanks as always Mike & Patrick.

Just placed my order for GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra and The Taking of Pelham 123 (both on Blu-ray) for $40 at Amazon (using the links in the Weekly RoundUp price matrix / table).

I was holding out for a B&M discount / coupon or an Amazon Best Value discount and waited too long: GI Joe: RotC is out of stock, but it's expected to be in stock on 11/06/2009.  Looks like I won't be watching it this weekend.

I'll rent Aliens in the Attic and I Love You Beth Cooper . . . once Redbox gets them stocked.

I saw GI Joe on Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised.  It was very silly but a lot of fun.  It reminded me of the big, loud Bond films of the '70s and early '80s. Warning, though: It is extremely violent (IMO its Ramboesque body count might have warranted an 'R' rating).  Do not be fooled by the toy tie-ins; it is NOT for children.  As a comparison, it is far bloodier than the first Transformers.  (I didn't see the second one yet.)
