Well, as a 28 year-old who saw it in a packed theater full of kids (at least 3 birthday party groups were in there) I loved it. Food, glorious and enormous food. It was the first film I've seen in 3-D so I didn't know what to expect. To my pleasant surprise the entire film was in 3-D, even the end credits. I don't watch animated movies because I have absolutely no interest in all those Disney/Pixar releases which this was not. This to me wasn't about cutesy fish or talking cars, toys come to life....this film could have been done live-action and still work. It would likely be a $200 million-dollar effects extravaganza, but it would still work. Homages to disaster films (loved the take on ID4's destruction sequence) and just a gorgeous visual feast for the eyes and stomach. I must see it again if I have the chance to theatrically.
