Philips Ambilight intermittant black screen - need help/advice

I have a Philips Ambilight which is almost 3 years old. A couple of weeks ago it started going to a black screen which lasts about 3-5 seconds then the picture comes back on. This seems to happen at random varying from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. The ambilight stays on on the sides of the TV but goes a little dimmer when the TV goes black. Because of this I thought it might be software related, but after updating to the latest version, I'm still having the problem.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

 I seem to be experiencing a similar problem. I updated the firmware a couple of days ago. No problems initially - now the screen is black but the ambilight is working and the sound is fine - just a black screen.
