30 Rock - season 4 - Page 2

The porn titles were hilarious, but the highlight for me was Don Geiss encased in carbonite.

Just catching up on the episodes, and I thought it was funny with Liz throwing the snowball at Jack, as Tina Fey is a Philly native.

Bitch hunter.

Enough said.

Great cameo by Will Ferrell.

One of the best moments in an already great season.

"Happy birthday, BITCHES!!"

Liz's middle name literally had tears rolling down my face. Such a mundane conversation, and then bam -- something completely weird and out-there. And then to follow it up immediately with Bitch Hunter!

I sorta liked the second episode, but the first one was absolutely killer. I didn't even mind Julianne Moore, even though Elizabeth Banks is being totally wasted. I loved the reference to Reagan's pyramid, however.

A peacock named "Argus." You college-educated writers, you.

Kind of a weak episode. But Jack's "stages of grief" and Kathy Geiss spitting out the pocket watch were awesome. "Aaah, living dinosaur!!!" cracked me up for some reason.

Also:

"He's not going to fire. For God sakes, he's AFRAID OF HIS OWN MOTHER!"

Good stuff.

^ I liked when Liz was reading the letter and said "Oh, I can't say that word. I'm white."

It's a good thing the whole episode was good, or I'd be more pissed that the promos spoiled Hamm's hooks.

I'm really enjoying how they're using Michael Sheen. He originally came off as a straight man, but now they're really pushing his obnoxiousness (to Liz, at least) to almost-cartoony levels.

Highlight of last night: the utterly straightfaced moment when Kenneth turns in his gun.

Also: the Somali Pirate.

"... Like, you're that Mormon guy on HBO who was in that tornado movie, the one with the girl with the forehead who was married to that Jewish guy." I think IMDB should start listing TV and film characters like this.

Laughed pretty solidly from start to finish. Surprised that they didn't do a "Departed" reference in the Baldwin-Damon scene, particularly given Moore's Bahston accent. Matt Damon killed during last night's episode. His explanation of why he was seeking workman's comp had me on the floor. I hope we get more of both Sheen and Damon next year.

Though I'm not hugely thrilled about the Avery pregnancy storyline. Banks' character getting pregnant pretty much marked the end of Scrubs being good. (That said, her "Overstock" commercial was great.)

Nice to see 30 Rock rebound after a shaky start to the season. It was a bit odd, but the ending of last night's episode almost felt like a SERIES finale to me, since everybody was happy/hooked up/et cetera.
