In addition to some of the amazing artists already in the ATO stable, I highly suggest giving a listen to Alberta Cross. I just got a hold of their new album ("Broken Side of Time") and I can't stop listening to it. The singer's pretty distinct...his high register stuff has a Shannon Hoon (Blind Melon)/Perry Farrell-ish kind of vibe to it, but he also has a normal register tone that's real earthy and bluesby. The music is definitely hard rock, but it's heavily blues influenced.

Keep in mind that I'm a big Ryan Adams fan so some of the country-ish feel on this album sounds great to me.
